Been reading Hope-n-Change for several months now... don't know why I never clicked on the Johnny Optimism link. But, now I did and it's great stuff! I have a daughter who requires a great deal of medical care and a lot of your material here hits close to home and is more accurate than you know. Darkly funny, and I look forward to more. Thank you Mr. Jarlsberg!

Oddly enough, hypochondria is probably the only thing this guy can treat... After all, who better to treat an imaginary friend than an imaginary doctor?

@Timmmmmy!- It means a lot to me when I get positive response from people who have to deal with medical challenges. It would be easy for people to only see the "dark" side of Johnny, and miss the underlying humanity and "struggle against the odds" which is (to me) the heart of the cartoon. Thanks for making my day.

@Pete(Detroit)- If there was ever the perfect time to prescribe a placebo, this is it.
