What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stranger.
I think there's a really bad S&M gay joke in there somewhere, but as I think this is supposed to be a 'family' strip, I'm not going after it...Happy Holiday, all!
Family strip or not, thanks for not going there, Stan! On another note, "The Flaming Patients" would be a good name for a rock band. Can I get royalties for that?
@Stan da Man- It's kind of a dysfunctional family strip, but I appreciate your restraint. Oops - that's another S&M reference!@JustaJeepGuy- Ooh, "Flaming Patients" WOULD be a good name for a rock band! I can't guarantee you royalties, but I can guarantee that if you record an album I'll buy it!
JustaJeepGuy: As long as you don't form your rock band in San Francisco...you might get more than you bargained for there as far as "Flamers".
I spent my last few months in the Navy at Treasure Island in 1977. I went into San Francisco a lot. Parts of the city were interesting to see. Any other comments I could make would be bringing a political slant, so I will close now.
JustaJeepGuy: I too have spent some brief time in SF. First time was in 1967 when I had a day or two of leave left before reporting to Oakland Army Terminal for deployment in LBJs "Youth in Asia" project. Lived on sourdough bread and visited places like the City Lights bookstore and the Cafe Vesuvio.Second time was on my honeymoon. My bride said she had never been west of Chicago and I said,"I can fix that." We had a great time. Too much stuff to mention here.
