  1. Dr. Jarlsberg:

I took today's "JOHNNY OPTIMISM" comic strip and combined it with the previous two (02) to make a nice story, which is posted on my web site, "OUR ETERNAL STRUGGLE".

Naturally, I attributed full credit to you, plus I encouraged readers to visit the "JOHNNY OPTIMISM" web site so they could enjoy reading the comments from your many fans.

    Thank you.

  4. @John Robert Mallernee- Combining the cartoons is a good way to go. Running 3 in a row with the same character was just sort of an experiment, and one I may repeat from time to time if a storyline makes it necessary (for instance, if I broke up and separated these cartoons by a lot of time, I'd assume that by the second or third appearance, a lot of people wouldn't know that the toddler has claimed his rattle is a bomb, and the cartoon just wouldn't make sense). The flip side is that I like to keep things mixed up and unpredictable in Johnny's world, so I won't do this too often (and I'm pretty sure today's cartoon ends the run of tiny terrorist gags) (Although I just now thought of a new one I could use to "button" this run. Hmm - maybe I'll sneak it in.)

@TrickyRicky- Ever since the CIA started using Barney's "I Love You" song as an interrogation tool, it really hasn't been a good idea to inject The Great Purple One's name into sensitive negotiations.

My comment above as a reference to a Bob & Tom skit.

Comments, condolences, and "Get Well" wishes are all welcomed. Please refrain from political comments - this strip has enough misery already!
