There's a lot of petrified wood on the Brazos River. And old rock & gym guy saw a piece on my desk as a paper weight, picked it up and licked it. I wondered what was going on when he said licking it lets you see how it will look when polished. He said this was a good one. Then he asked if I knew what makes a good rock-hound? No. "You have to like the taste of coyote piss."
Looks like our "chef" is a real "whiz" at being praegustator!

@Rod- My brother-in-law is an avid rock hound. I'll have to ask him the truth of this. When he's not holding a throwing-sized rock, of course.
