  1. How timely. I had a tangle with "the green fairy" this weekend. Luckily I still have both my ears....and both of my brain cells intact.

  2. @TrickyRicky- I've never tried it, but would. Or should I say wormwood?

  3. I find it intensely flavored of anise, and quite disgusting therefore.
    But hey, each their own...

  4. The wormwood is supposed to impart a psychedelic component to the alcohol, sort of like the legend of Mezcal. I think that the absinthe imported to the U.S. may be less potent, but you can catch a unique buzz, IMHO.

  5. @Pete (Detroit)- Ouzo has a strong anise flavor too, but I managed to get down a shot when I tried it.

@TrickyRicky- A unique buzz sounds fun, unless it's a haircut.

  6. Think I've got you on this one, Stilt. After a "bender" on Absinthe, a typical drinker would agree with "Absinthe makes the heart grow funda", (any cardiologist who studied medicine at a community college should verify this).
