  5. LenSaitc - I was aware that 'real' tonic is flavored w/ Quinine, wondered if it would have any effect on C-19...

  6. @M. Mitchell Marmel- Not the Buzzed Bomb?

    @Kent Whitehead- Maybe you were thinking of airplanes' Bombay doors?

    @TrickyRicky- Alrighty...

    @LenSatic- Believe me, I've been thinking about that.

    @Pete (Detroit)- I think if you drank enough of it, it would be better than nothing. I may have to look into that (really).

  7. @Pete - Quoriquine is a synthetic form of quinine developed by Bayer in the '30 (IIRC). Hydroxychloroquine was developed to counter some of the side effects. They are prescription drugs, quinine is not and is not as concentrated. So a little quinine water each day won't hurt you. Especially is accompanied by Gin or Vodka. Well, unless you're going to AA meetings. :D

    @Stilton - Stop thinking and act!

    Actually, if you compare a map of countries with malaria and countries with the CCP Flu you'll find that they don't overlap. I doubt that the poor countries are getting the more expensive derivatives. They probably just take the OTC quinine and/or drink tonic water.

    My wife found four 1 liter bottles of Canada Dry TW today so I made my first vodka tonic ever. First, the tonic water, straight, tasted like slightly weak ginger ale. Second, VT may be my new favorite drink for the coming summer. Both my wife and I said that we'd enjoy drinking it straight. Enjoy!

  8. @LenSatic- I ordered several 2-liter bottles of (diet) tonic water along with the rest of my groceries which I'll pick up on Sunday. Hopefully the store won't be out!

  9. My wife picked up 6 more bottles today, so, that was a good thing. Problem is, she went in to town to get lobster tails. There weren't any. Good luck!
