  1. I know Johnny is Optimism personified, but I wish he wouldn't tempt fate like that.

  2. One more thing: I know Old Year Guy is supposed to be old, but I didn't know he carries a scythe. Isn't that just supposed to be the Grim Reaper's accessory? I thought Old Year Guy just carried an hourglass with no sand left in the top half.

  3. @JustaJeepGuy
Something tells me Old Year Guy is trying to give us a hint,
and I'm not sure I'm likin' it.

  4. @JustaJeepGuy- There's a fine line between optimism and "just asking for it." As far as Old Year Guy carrying a scythe, it just seemed appropriate this year.

@Valvenator- Nothing good ever comes from "Bwah-ha-ha."

  5. NEVER offer a challenge to stupidity or malevolence. Both will always sink well beyond expectations or even imagination.

  6. The image of "Old Year Guy" with a scythe firmly implanted through his head gives everyone a good idea how the year "2021" has gone...
Here is hoping and Praying your 2022 is NOT 2020 Too,
But instead I pray for you and the Family to have a Blessed (and Healing) New Year.
(Pop the screw top lid on a Clan McGregor for me...)

  7. I remember a year ago admonishing everyone not to assume 2021 couldn't be any worse than 2020....I'm afraid the same holds true this year. Let's all hope the tide will turn.
    HAPPY NEW YEAR

  8. @Valvenator, I don't think I like the hint either.

@TrickyRicky, I would never voice that idea about 2022 vs. 2021. The gods don't need to be tempted.

@Stilt, I can see where you found the scythe to be appropriate...

  9. I will simply note that "2022" is pronounced "2020, Too" and leave it at that... ;D

    You're welcome.

  11. "Bwah-ha-ha."

Oh! I thought that was just our "laid-back and how" Vice Pwesident loudly answering a true Journalist's sharp question in the background. OK. OK. No politics here; I couldn't help myself.
