What unspeakably horrible disease has that poor girl contracted that takes away her eyelashes?? What has medical science done to combat that dread affliction? Where's the telethon for eyelashlossiosis? What's the real name of this disease???
JustaJeepGuy, It's called madarosis, and it's usually caused by Blepharitis or Alopecia areata. The likelihood of a telethon ranks with appendix transplants being covered by insurance.
@Bruce Bleu- D'oh!! I totally posted an earlier comment about alopecia a bit earlier, but now it's gone. But yes, it's a real condition (I assume our girl in the cartoon is wearing a wig), and I think the telethon should happen on Halloween, because it's hair-raising. (rimshot)
