  2. Putting the "kill" in "Reddy Kilowatt"...

  3. @Stan da Man- I'm shocked by such a pun. Shocked!

    @Kent Whitehead- He swings and...(smack!)...it's a double!

@M. Mitchell Marmel- Reddy Kilowatt was a truly disturbing character. So I loved him, of course!

  5. @Ricky: Well, despite Johnny's resistance, the hospital is ohm sweet ohm.

  6. I’ve reached my capacitor of puns.

  7. @Readers- Hey, let's not mock Electricity Guy. You see those things on his head? They're terminal.

  8. @Stilton: Are you positive? That seems like a pretty negative prognosis.

  9. I'm inducting all you folks into the Punster Hall of Shame
(whose first entrant was Steven Pastis, I believe).

  10. Actually, if Stilton's prognosis is correct, I hope Johnny paid
the guy for his services up front. I would hate for him to die owed.

  11. @Erik: Would that train of thought make him a room temperature super conductor?

  12. @M. Mitchell Marmel: That would depend on how well he did his job -

@Erik (self-correction): That's Stephan Pastis, not Steven Pastis, you idiot.

  13. So, Johnny has a cell mate now??

  14. @Readers- Dang, I might just swipe your punchlines and keep "electricity guy" around for awhile (grin).

  15. @Stilton: "Shocking. Positively shocking." - Sean Connery as 007

  16. @Stilton When we lived in Beaumont, TX, in the '50s, we had a Reddy Kilowatt medallion on the front door. When Hurricane Audrey hit in '57 we had no kilowatts. My parents were smart enough to cook meals ahead of it and put them in coolers. Dad also bought a two burner Coleman camp stove.

  17. Dang!
All the good puns are taken.
    Anode I wuz too late.

    Wait…
Johnny's fear makes him a battery chicken.
    Plural implies re-volting nightmares.
    (that is all)

  20. I would like to take this opportunity to plug another strip:

Just by coincidence, yesterday and today started a great story
arc over at the GoComics replay of the Calvin and Hobbes strip.
The link is to today's strip, which is loaded with puns. To
see what started the arc, hit the single 'back' indicator to
    see yesterday's strip:

  21. Erik - Pastis (Pearls Before Swine) Is one of my cartoon heroes, right up there w/ Larson, Watterson and (early) Breathed. He actually did a collaboration w/ Watterson once...

  22. Also - LOVE Tracer Bullet, almost as much as Spaceman Spiff!
"In walked trouble, brunette as usual"...

Comments, condolences, and "Get Well" wishes are all welcomed. Please refrain from political comments - this strip has enough misery already!
