The Reverend Billy C. Wirtz has a song-story about those two songs. He calls it "Stairway To Freebird". Two songs which I could go to my grave a happy man if I never hear either one again.
As a hard-core Southern boy, I love any Southern rock...J.J. Cale is the author of Call Me The Breeze, and other ballads covered by Skynyrd and Clapton...anyway, Freebird still rocks.
