What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stranger.
I'm kind of fond of it too, although it's not an everyday elixir. We have a half bottle of Lucid in the back of the cabinet that hasn't been touched in over a year. I have a feeling that it will be touched again real soon.
@TrickyRicky- I've never tried it, but would if given the opportunity. Isn't there a whole ritual of heating it and pouring it over a sugar cube in a strainer or something? Or am I confusing it with Satanism?
@Stilton- You should give it a try. I don't believe the stuff now legal in the States has enough wormwood in it for the full "Van Gogh" effect, but it is a unique little buzz nonetheless. The ritual consists of pouring a couple of ounces into a glass, then putting a sugar cube on a special slotted spoon and slowly pouring cold water over it until dissolved. The addition of water to the absinthe makes it cloudy a la Ouzo....Salut. The Satanism part may follow, but that is up to you.
