Johnny getting a dollar gift reminded me of a time when I was much, much younger that all I wanted for Christmas as a dollar. I got one. What a great Christmas memory for me. I'll call my mom and thank her, again. (I'm not going to call Christmas by some other PC name, as that would make my comment politcal.)

Seriously, I really appreciate hearing from you and am delighted you like the cartoons. Sometimes I look at the little blogspot graph that shows the readership patterns, and notice the way that there are peaks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with valleys on the other days. It looks for all the world like the readout from an EKG test...and I think that's appropriate. You readers are Johnny's heartbeat.

@Bobo- Calling mom is always a good thing.
I was looking over my schedule when I realized it was a Monday.
"Hey, it's a Johnny Optimism day!" And I told someone here, "You know, I really like Johnny Optimism."
Then it occurred to me that it might be a good idea if I let the person who was creating it know. So I came back to look for the comments.
