Were you channeling Don Martin when you thought up "Sklurtch" ? What a great word!

@Kevin- It wasn't conscious, but I absorbed a LOT of Don Martin in my formative years - and now that you've called it to my attention, I'll bet that Mr. Martin stuck that nice, juicy word in the recesses of my mind decades ago. Now the trick will be for me to work in words like Veeblefetzer and Potrzebie.

Either the Pharmacist, the Duck or the Dino would be good for those.

@Pete(Detroit)- Good thinking! I'll start looking for opporknockities to use those words.

@SC- Glad you liked it! I'm as surprised as anyone at where these cartoons go - I just get to see them first!

@Dan Mathewson- See, "foomph" is another funny word!

I always loved how Don Martin's "sound words" were pronounced like the sounds should be spelled. If you know what I mean. "Flubadub" was one of my favorites.

JustaJeepGuy- I completely agree; Martin was just a genius with those crazy sound words. And I'm an enthusiast for sound effects of all kinds (not just the written kind) having worked in audio production in some of my various careers.

Makes me think of the auto insurance commercial and the guy saying turn left, no right, no eft, then screaming recalculating and turn right now. I could just imagine it happens in the operating room with some of the stories you read now and again about surgical mishaps.

Merry Christmas and or Happy Hanukkah,
