@JustaJeepGuy & Dan Mathewson- This particular strip was created in 2011 and has been sitting on my harddrive until now. So far, there haven't been any reruns (with the exception of an accidental reposting or two).
As I've mentioned here before, Johnny Optimism was originally created in May 2010 as a one-off joke for a friend of mine (not even as a strip - just a children's book cover). The next day, my mother died - and for a couple of weeks I grieved by obsessively creating Johnny Optimism cartoons - lots of them - trying to explore the idea of finding laughter (or just a little relief) in the blackest of situations. By the way, my Mom's sense of humor was such that she would've liked Johnny.
Since then, I've continued creating Johnny cartoons while also drawing on a deep stockpile of older strips. I'm just about caught up, though, so in the future you won't see many strips which don't have a 2013 copyright date.

@Readers- We must all face the grim reality that Life is just a drive-thru...
How come this comic has a copyright date of 2011? It's not a rerun, is it?
If it is a rerun, it's a good 'un!
@ JustaJeepGuy Maybe 2011 is when Stilton started the comic.

Now we know...the rest...of the story! Thanks, @Stilt!
