@TrickyRicky- As It's No Gouda points out, labs can be plenty drippy if they see something they want. And my genuine condolences for the loss of one of your labs. Wonderful dogs and great family members.

@Gladorn- That's how they work in the wild: the drooling dog gets your attention, and then the helper monkey grabs you from your blind side. Of course, if you're already blind, the monkey doesn't really need the dog.
@It's No Gouda- My lab-mix knows that I'll give her the last bite of anything I'm eating. So for the duration of my meal, she's making drool stalactites. Appetizing! Not.

I stand corrected. I do dangle treats in front of a hungry lab daily. It used to be labs, but sadly only one now.
