@jdas- Johnny doesn't have just one condition... and even his doctors don't understand all the conditions he has.
But it doesn't matter anyway: the real meaning of this strip is Johnny's ongoing fight to stay optimistic in the face of adversity. Just like the rest of us.
Johnny's kind of the opposite of a hypochondriac, isn't he? He actually DOES have that disease...and that one, and that one, and that one... but he doesn't go out of his way to imagine having them.
I would guess that if the good doctor got through med school, and a residency, without sobering up, it might have been with the help of Merck White Fluffy Flakes.
