Cheer

johnny optimism, medical, humor, sick, jokes, boy, wheelchair, doctors, hospital, stilton jarlsberg, drummer, christmas, manhole steamrising

Speaking of Christmas and music, Johnny wants you to have a special gift to help put you in the holiday mood:  a free no-strings-attached downloadable album of relaxing instrumental Christmas music!

Not available in stores. Trust us on this one.
It's the Manhole Steamrising "Complete Christmas Collection" and...what's that? You never heard of Manhole Steamrising? Well, you didn't think Johnny could afford to hire Mannheim Steamroller to record a custom album, did you?!

The album is solo harp which is actually played by Johnny's guardian angel (we think his name is "Harold") and consists of 15 soothing tracks of Christmas favorites. We would have liked to include music played on the organ, but we couldn't find a suitable donor. (Cue the guy with the bass drum from the cartoon.)

It's all perfectly legal, and you're free to share the music and/or the link with as many people as you like. In fact, we encourage you to spread the holiday cheer! Please! Tis the season! Just follow this link to get tyour download started.

You'll end up with a ZIP file which, when double-clicked, will open up into a folder with your 15 songs in MP3 format. It's our way of saying "Merry Christmas" from Johnny, Lance, and Stilton!

A few people have had problems with the download process - so here's an easy solution. Just listen to the music right here!

Thank you for that nice Christmas gift.

I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to operate the WinZip program (because I almost never use it), and a heck of a time looking for where the unzipped music file went to.

BUT - - - ,

Once I finally solved the problems, the whole thing was really simple.

Of course, the download also included some extra software stuff I did NOT want, but once I figured that out, I just uninstalled it, or didn't install it (there were multiple software programs being sold, which were unrelated to the music).

Anyway, it's all straightened out now, and everything is working as it should be.

Again, THANK YOU for this beautiful Christmas gift!

"Nollaig Chridheil agus Bliadhna Mhath Ur!"
(Scottish Gaelic, pronounced as, "Nowl-lick Kree-yell ah-gus Blee-ah-nah Vah Oor!", it means literally, "Christmas Hearty and Happy New Year!")

Post Script: Tomorrow is my anniversary.

On Friday 12 December 1969, I landed at Cam Ranh Bay, Republic of Viet Nam.

I was twenty-three years old, the same age my father was when he landed on the beach at Normandy (but not on D-Day - - - , it was a few days later).

Last night, I went to church Christmas party, and sang, "SILENT NIGHT", in German, while accompanying myself on guitar.

Historically, that's how the newly composed carol was performed the very first time, in Austria, a couple of centuries ago, because the church organ was broken.

Here's the URL where you can watch me sing, "STILLE NACHT", while playing guitar:

@John Robert Mallernee- First off, sorry about the additional software which came with your download. I've since taken steps to streamline the process and now the whole thing should be much easier and contain no unwanted "extras."

It doesn't seem appropriate to say "happy anniversary" about your landing at Cam Ranh Bay, so instead let me again say "thank you, sir" for your service.

And wow, your performance of "Stille Nacht" was just beautiful!

I'm pretty sure the drum guy is the new tenant of the apartment above mine.
