The western and eastern Steppes are 5,000 miles. Averaging would make a "Steppe" 2,500 miles. The miles of the journey must be symbolic, because this one would cover over 104 times around the Earth. I hope this ambulance company doesn't have an exclusive contract, or poor Johnny is screwed!

@JustaJeepGuy- As does my walk to the mailbox, which accounts for much of my daily exercise and excitement.
