Worked at Toys R Us in Van Nuys, circa 1970, and built a bicycle for Jack Dodson's son one time. He drove up in the most CHERRY 1938 Buick convertible to pick it up... He told me that he got it from Andy Griffith, and Andy was an avid car collector/restorer and he had numerous other cars at his house in Encino.
@pdwalker- "Dated?" When talking about giants of the entertainment industry? I think not! (grin)
@M. Mitchell Marmel- "Here at The Rock we have two basic rules. The first rule is OBEY ALL RULES. Secondly: Do not write on the walls as it takes a lot of work to erase writing OFF of walls."
@Wahoo- I'm not sure that's the "bud" M. Mitchell was referring to. Or maybe it was!
@TrickyRicky- Well if you don't have anything to say, why don't you drop by Floyd's for a haircut.
@Stan da Man- You're right, that IS a conversation stopper.
@SC- Hey, HnC is more or less alive and well, only it's now called "Stilton's Place" and can be found at StiltonsPlace.com. I wrapped up HnC because that story was completed (though the site is still there for reference). But quite soon afterwards, I created the new site with the same attitude, the same art, and the same folks meeting to gab in the comments section. Check it out (and get on the mailing list there if you'd like reminders about new content).
@rickn8or- It's impossible to NOT hear that phrase in Gomer's voice. Nicely done!
@Bruce Bleu- Cool story!
@TrickyRicky- Thanks for the reminder. By the way, either Stiltonsplace.blogspot.com or StiltonsPlace.com will get you to the site.
Yes, Deputy Fife & his one bullet; comic genius for years. Funny show that one; still running on TV. I tried to paste here without success; but check out Knott's grave marker on WikiP.

If Johnny gets his MMJ card, I'll be his best friend.
@M Mitchell Marmel- Darn, you beat me to it. I'll leave it at that,anything more just wouldn't be prudent.

A dinosaur and no Barney Rubble joke? Was it too easy?
@SC- Glad we reconnected!
@Rod- In my mind, Barney Fife was the greatest comic character to ever appear on TV. Don Knotts was amazing.
@JustaJeepGuy- That actually would make for a good joke! I just couldn't fit 3 Barney references into the same strip.
