Dear friend from college grew up in southern places, and if you say 'fish sticks' with a bit of a slur, it sounds like an anatomical reference. She was always confused, growing up, as to what kind of fish HAD those, and why the heck people would EAT them...
One would also suspect that a lack of tensile fortitude would quickly separate them from proper flossing materials.
