In December of 1967, I tried to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, but was turned down, so I volunteered to be drafted and went into the United States Army.

Audie Murphy also went into the United States Army after being turned down by the United States Marine Corps, and he became America's most decorated hero in the Second World War.

I heard that a patient who was a teacher made an officer draw chalk outlines 100 times as punishment for running in the hallways, (well, that's what I heard).
