Yesterday, I had a medical appointment at the hospital in Rock Springs, Wyoming, which is a two hour long drive over the mountains from Vernal, Utah, where I live.
I took along two copies each of both, Volume One and Volume Two, of "JOHNNY OPTIMISM", which I handed to the nurse, telling her it was a donation, and she LOVED it, immediately breaking out into a peal of laughter after cautiously examining the very first page!
I had previously given away most of my extra copies of Volumes One and Two of "JOHNNY OPTIMISM", so I had to order another stack from AMAZON for me to be distributing.
I' m back home now, but I'll be returning there at the end of August for minor surgery, which I hope will improve my health, and keep me from getting sick over and over.
Wow, Johnny really didn't appreciate the singing telegram, did he? And it wasn't even normal Johnny news! Is it a sign Johnny's getting better or am I fooling myself?
@John Robert Mallernee- You do my heart good, sharing Johnny with medical professionals! I'd really like to find a way to do more of that myself. Good luck with that surgery in August and here's hoping it does good things for you!
@JustaJeepGuy- Johnny was uncharacteristically harsh here. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe he's just learned to hate this guy.

"Throw it six feet? I suppose so, but aren't you a bit old to have a bris?"
@MMM- Naughty boy. For some reason that old song "The First Cut Is The Deepest" comes to mind.

Sounds like the "singing telegram" gets responded to by a "SLINGING telegram".
