I think it's less bloodthirsty to cook a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving than to use a freshly-killed one or one that hasn't been frozen. A frozen turkey has had time to be forgotten by its family and friends so it's anonymity is preserved.

@Stilt, it is what it is. What it isn't is using "it's" when I should have used "its". What was I thinking? I haven't made that mistake in decades.
