@TrickyRicky- The elevated testosterone theory is absolutely true. I know because the hair started falling out of my head the same time it started growing on my palms.
My father used to tell about how he had alopecia when he first met my mother but then he stopped drinking milk and the hair all grew back. I have no idea if there is any connection there, but that was his story.

My dear old Dad also had it, earlier in life than I. When we poked fun at him he said "The further man is evolved from the ape, the less hair he has".

@JustaJeepGuy- I'm still trying to figure out why he stopped drinking milk when he met your mother? To keep his breath fresh for smooching?
@TrickyRicky- But the great thing is that if others kid you about needing glasses, you'll have one strong arm to punch them with.
@Stilt, they had seven kids. Maybe he just couldn't get to the milk before it was gone.
