At 77, and a decorated war veteran, with experience in law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medicine, I thought I'd been around, but some of this stuff really makes me feel mentally retarded.

@John Robert Mallernee- It's not you, it's me. In fact, any time you don't "get" a cartoon you should assume it's because the joke may only work in my own damaged mind. In this case, I just liked the very weird and unnatural expressions on the faces of the father and daughter so suggested that they were the results of botox injections that would leave the face immobile. When Johnny shares the sad truth about many at the hospital, the two feel sorry for him but are unable to change their manic expressions.

My brain sort of works in fits and starts these days, but I'll try to make the jokes more accessible - sorry!

Reminds me about the joke where the mother and daughter were disqualified from the child beauty pageant for using botox injections. The daughter didn't seem surprised.
