...Too dark? ;D
As a background... I just watched the Irene Sendler movie, then watched the Bielski Brothers documentary ( they were the inspiration for the movie "Defiance" with Daniel Craig and Liev Ullman )and I can say...yes. That was a cute albeit dark Johnny Optimism.
I only had a few cousins murdered in the camps, grew up with parents of friends having blue number tattoos, and so on...we all are Jews, and if you're not steeped in Holocaust lore...why not? A joke is usually funny, but really...children raising their hands is not equitable with a Seig Heil...
@Readers- Yikes, THAT got darker than I intended! Rest assured that all of the kids in this class are doomed to disappointment because Johnny isn't going anywhere. As far as historical connotations go, none were intended on my part!

3M- Well played. Looks like a campaign ad in the making.
I think they're wrong about Johnny.
I think he comes pre-printed on the page when they're handed out.
@3m They must be Röhmbidextrous.
I'm optimistic for Johnny.
Not much of a strip, otherwise
What's the kitty up to for that pool?
@Kent: ROFLMAO
@Kent- You have won the internet for the year (so far)!!

@Gee M: Can't we just let bygones Zyklon B?
(I don't care WHO you are, that's funny...and this comes from someone who had half the Marmelstein side of the family murdered in the camps.)
