Tomorrow (Tues 11/26/24) I'm getting a hip replacement so the subject is unavoidably on my mind. But I suppose such procedures should be expected along with the gray hare.

Best of luck Stilton! I understand that, although a bloody procedure, the rehab for a hip is much quicker and less painful than for a knee. For whatever that is worth.

Good luck, I just spent two days in bed because I couldn't get up but a hip replacement wouldn't do anything, it's arthritis along the top of the hip bone not the socket...just as well the waiting list for our 'socialized medicine' is measured in years...unless you're a politician, then you get to push servicemen out of line at military hospitals or go to another country for surgery without facing charges when you come back.
After surgery, hydrate often, gets rid of the anesthetic. You should prioritize beer for this…..because of the hops. No really, hydrate.
