Sounded like a hare-lipped dog to me.

And now my impression of a hare lipped dog chasing a retarded turkey...
Ahem... marf-marf gibble-gibble.

That gave me flashbacks to Harf (makes me barf).

Epilepsy Boy just needs to try a good fruitcake. Check out Collin Street Bakery fruitcakes. They're kinda expensive, but they're really good! And @Stilt, they're made in Texas!

You missed a good Hark Tuah joke

@Kent Whitehead- I've always loved that joke. Of course, I'm going to laugh at anything that includes the phrase "hare-lipped dog"

@Anonymous- Okay, that's funny!

@TrickyRicky- The herald angels are taking a real beating here today.

@JustaJeepGuy- I'm well familiar with the Collin Street Bakery fruitcakes. And make no mistake, I'm a big fruitcake fan. Bargain hunter's tip: at Walmart you can find a nice little 12-ounce brick of fruitcake from Claxton for about $3. It's quite good!

@DougM- Wow, I so want to "go there" now! Funny!

@Stilt, I don't know if I'm brave enough to enter Wally World at this time of year. I'll have to check out the Claxton though. I'm a big fruitcake fan too, but my A1C isn't...okay, it's not just fruitcake that assaults my A1C...

Who can afford to make fruitcake or mince pie these days ? The price of candied fruit is through the roof, not to mention the brandy and rum, and there's too many protesters in the woods with noisemakers (or just idiot 'hunters' on atv's) to get a deer. Any mincemeat that isn't made with deer neck meat is just fruitcake in a pie shell.

"Deer neck meat" is a pretty specific recipe ingredient. Hey, I've got 3 muley bucks hanging out in my back yard right this minute...hmm...

And BTW, describing a small fruitcake as a "brick" tends to perpetuate the negative stereotype of fruitcake. That does leave more for me though...
