I'll admit that this cartoon was inspired by the strange medical case of Phineas Gage.
Later in the conversation, she and the caller fight over which is harder to remove from one's head.
If I may offer my personal recipe: Song in your head goes away, if you write a spoof lyrics for it, Al Yankowitz style, or translate its lyrics into another language. Do not know about steel rebar, though...
Ironically, there is a song called "Rebar" by Focus Group. Even more ironically, it sucks so bad you can't get it stuck in your head. Heh, ironically.
I only hope she has some concrete suggestions for the rebar guy.

I don't know about you, but Weird Al's lyrics get stuck in my head way more easily than the original lyrics do. Strangely, I don't mind that.
