But why do they need to get BACK to the operating room if Johnny's coming OUT of anesthesia? Something seems out of order. Then again, it is Johnny here...
@Readers- Obviously this one was more baffling than I intended it to be. The scenario in my mind is that all of these people were in the operating room when Johnny was knocked out, then they just changed clothes to go out for lunch while he was unconscious. Before he comes around, they need to get back in there to complete the illusion that he's had surgery (which presumably can be billed to someone).
"Yes," you say, "but how were WE supposed to know that?" The answer is apparently "by reading my mind," though trust me - you don't want to do that.
So...I am probably from that mythical planet in Superman's Universe, Bizarro...I get this one, got it right away. Other people get some JOs I don't quite get at first. Oh, well...as long as I get there...
@Stilt: Actually, I was thinking of a scene from one of the Tom Clancy novels where a team of British surgeons break for lunch in the middle of a procedure, much to the surprise of Jack Ryan's surgeon wife...

Wow, Johnny must be in a classier joint than I imagined. I've never seen so many suits and ties in a hospital cafeteria before.
Studies have said that the most germ-laden thing in a hospital is a Dr's tie...

Gotta love a joke about absurdity itself
Cafeteria Rule One: You do NOT ask about the scrapple.

@Stilt, so the billing is the most important part of the surgery? It's all clear to me now.
