I remember a Night Gallery episode where Joan Crawford played a blind Manhattan socialite who pays a destitute bum for his eyes so she can see the world for 12 hours. As she peels off the bandages and looks out her penthouse window everything goes dark in the 1965 northeast blackout. Good stuff.
