I have always wondered about the ADA mandate that all signs must include the message in braille. What, the blind must feel along walls, etc., to even find the signs that have the included messages in braille? Hmmm...
@M. Mitchell Marmel- Those are the classics, alright.
@Bobo the Hobo- Well who doesn't love dog jokes?
@Kent Whitehead- Ah yes...
@TrickyRicky- True fact: Helen Keller's sense of smell was so keen that she sometimes tracked escaped convicts for the police. Sadly, she had to give it up after running headlong into too many trees.
@ringgo1- That's always struck me as weird, too. Then again..."government."
If we were to receive full value for our taxes, there would be braille markings on the door handles, turn signals, wiper and light controls in our cars and trucks. Sort of like self-driving. Who needs it?
M3 - I can imagine the stucco wall would read like Hunter S Thompson... TR - only the nose Knows! Ringgo - If they need the Braille on the ATM, mebbee they shouldn't be driving?
Stilt - Sounds like you're back on home turf, Implying the lovely Miss J's improvement? Yay for all concerned!

Reading a stucco wall, answering the iron, rearranging the furniture and her dog was blind, too.
I believe that's hit the high spots.
My cousin and I still send each other Helen Keller jokes. I especially like the one about Helen and her dog, Ugergbbfdnbj.
3M, You forgot "her boyfriend's blind too"
So going with Stilton's original thesis, is it safe to assume Helen Keller had a hellofa smeller?

I bet Helen Keller had several braille books chock full of sighted people jokes.
Two blondes walk into a building.
You'd think at least one of them would have seen it!
